We exist to solve critical issues facing our world community providing a broad range of community services and solutions to help facilitate change.
When the greatest need is common and simple, such as in the case of hunger; there's no child that should feel the pain of hunger. We are excited to share our Youth Summer Feeding Program-Kick Kid Hunger! Kick Kid Hunger is a division of the Naomi's Heart Feeding Program where we focus on food insecurity and children 3 years to 19 yrs old. At PRK we must make sure any child that's hungry has a meal. We not only provide healthy nutritious food we teach them how to grow their own. One of our goals is creation of nutrition education. This program allows not only children but their parents to learn that proper nutrition education at an early age is pertinent to developing healthy eating & exercising habits. We also participate in food box give aways monthly and holiday assistance services.
-Give a person a fish feed them once, teach a man how to fish feed them for a lifetime.
PRK Foundation helps to support those most vulnerable which includes our geriatric community. We have advocacy, program advisory and pushing forward is our vision of not leaving those in need hungry. Part of our mission is to help with home - delivered meal programs for home-bound elderly (60 or older) and/ or the disabled is currently in process. Our senior box food program and senior transportation was added to bring additional relief when needed most.
We became a Local Community Organization (LCO) Marine Toys for Tots Campaign Coordinator. We partnered with Marine Toys For Tots to bring toys to children who would not have toys for the holidays. This has allowed our company to make a greater positive impact on children's lives.
We host events and have programs that serve our Veterans. In addition, we have services geared toward Veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk. These services offer a wide range of assistance, including housing, soft skills, mental health, employment, food, and other supportive services. Our transitional housing directly serves emergency placement and getting veterans off the street. Our grouped services provide a more inclusive type of help that is needed. Once veterans enroll in our housing program, they work with a case manager who will help them on the pathway to homeownership. This two-year program can take a homeless veteran off the streets to get keys to their home, ensuring a clear path to self-sufficiency and sustainable living. The two-year program includes Homeownership education, financial literacy, soft skills/ life skills, mental health, employment assistance, job placement, and advocacy.
We are committed to bringing affordable homes and equal homeownership opportunities. Through our Homeownership Program we help give potential home owners the tools they need to be successful. We are helping rural communities improve quality of life. Decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing is a basic human need.
